Oberfell Family Presidential Scholarship

Oberfell Family Presidential Scholarship – Funds distributed from the endowment shall be used for scholarship support for students pursuing a medical degree in the School of Medicine. Additional criteria is as follows:

- Student must be in good academic standing.
- Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
- Preference will be given to students who received their undergraduate degree from a historically Black college or university, provided that the college or university does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, veteran status, or disability in its admissions practices.
- Preference will be given to students who are members of the Student National Medical Association, an active student organization at the University. Involvement in this organization will remain a preference criterion of this scholarship as long as participation in the organization remains open to all University students.
