Edith and Emanuel Cohen/Evelyn A. Gerstein Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Edith and Emanuel Cohen/Evelyn A. Gerstein Memorial Endowed Scholarship – To award scholarship(s) of $500 or more to one or more outstanding students in the School of Allied Health Sciences, who meets established criteria in the spirit of the Health Careers Opportunity Programs (HCOP). The recipient shall meet the following criteria:

1. A full-time student entering the second (or third for three-year track participants) year of study, in good academic standing, as defined by his or her departmental standard;

2. Documentable record of community service and leadership initiative;

3. Documentable disadvantaged circumstances including, but not limited to, underrepresented racial or ethnic minority, medical challenge, non-traditional in age or pursuit of second career, single custodial parent, first generation college or other circumstances identified by the applicant or academic department and approved by the selection committee.
