Helen Greathouse Charitable Foundation Scholarship for the School of Medicine – Funds distributed from the endowment shall be used to provide annual scholarships for outstanding students in the School of Medicine who are dedicated to the principles of compassionate and patient-centered care, the science of medicine, the preservation of professionalism and who intend to return to the West Texas area of Midland or Ector county to practice or who are interested in a family practice in a rural Texas environment. Preference will be given to students who have resided for the majority of their lifetimes in the West Texas region of Midland or Ector county.
